Key Temporary Measures:
Open Work Permits, Study Permits, and Status Extensions:
Immediate family members (spouses, dependent children, and dependent children of dependent children) of Canadian citizens and permanent residents who left Lebanon on or after September 29, 2024, are eligible to apply for these permits and extensions at no cost.
Lebanese nationals already in Canada with valid temporary resident status can also apply for these permits and extensions at no cost.
Eligibility:
These measures apply to spouses and dependents regardless of their nationality.
Those who left on flights arranged by Global Affairs Canada, or by other means, are eligible.
Validity:
These measures will be in effect until July 31, 2025, or until they are revoked.
